What Can I Do with a Major in Linguistics?

Linguistics majors gain marketable skills such as analytical reasoning, critical thinking, argumentation, and expression. They are able to make insightful observations, generate hypothesis and predictions, draw conclusions, and communicate findings.  Linguistic majors are prepared for graduate level and professional programs and careers.  Some of these careers may require additional education, training, or skills.  This is by no means a comprehensive list of what careers are available for those pursuing a degree in linguistics.
