Course Objectives

  1. Students will complete their thesis research or MA project development and make a public presentation of their work.
  2. Students will be able to demonstrate their ability to understand, summarize, and critique the research of others by (a) giving an oral presentation based on a published research report, (b) leading a class discussion on that report, and (c) submitting your own written report based on (a) and (b).
  3. Students will prepare for career paths in TESOL by completing a professional portfolio and making a presentation to the class on teaching, testing, materials development and/or research skills.
