I have been working at BYU for 18 years. I spent nine years as a
transcriptionist at the Student Health Center and the last nine years
in the Linguistics and English Language Department as the department
secretary. I have five children, four went on missions, four are
married, five are living in Utah County and in 2009 all will have
graduated from BYU. I have 12 grandchildren from the ages of nine
to
one month. I graduated from BYU in 1967 in Sociology and worked
at the
University of Utah as an Accounting Clerk for a year and a half, went
back to BYU to get a teaching certificate and then got a job as a
probation officer until I got married in 1973. I have always
loved BYU
both as a student and as an employee. I love the spirit which is
here. I enjoy working with the faculty in the Linguistics and
English
Language Department – they are WONDERFUL. I am a dedicated
believer in
Jesus Christ and the mission of the Church on the earth. I support it
with all my heart.
I am originally from Littleton, Colorado, but have lived here in Utah on and off for 15 years. I graduated from BYU in English, with an emphasis in English Language, before it was its own major in the Linguistics and English Language Department. I am married to Steve Spear, also BYU alum, and we have four children: three boys ages 20, 18 and 17, and one daughter age 13. I love to travel with my husband, write, manage three teenagers and get letters from our missionary son. I enjoy working in this department because of the topics of study we offer, and the staff and faculty, some of whom I knew when I was a student here.
I am from Pocatello, Idaho and am a sophomore in the athletic training program. I plan on graduating Fall semester 2011 with the hopes of entering a physical therapist program the following fall. I have worked as a student secretary since May 2009. I love to play all sports, especially tennis and badminton.
I am a molecular biology major from Centerville, Utah. I returned from the France Paris Mission in February of 2009 and have worked as a student secretary since August of the same year. I am an avid tennis fan, but will just as quickly participate in any sport.
