The aim of the BYU Soar Research Group is the processing and modeling of linguistic data within the Soar agent framework, and to investigate related areas such as language/task integration, psycholinguistic modeling, and language learning.

We are actively developing and maintaining two Soar systems:

• NL-Soar, a cognitive modeling system for natural language use, and
• LG-Soar, a Soar-based information extraction system using the Link Grammar parser

The BYU Soar Group includes faculty and students from Brigham Young University's Computer Science Department and Linguistics Department.

This effort is part of the wider Soar project community.
