This task will get you started with speech formants and signal filtering.

1. Read and study the spectrogram reading tutorial at this website.
2. Run PRAAT and try to find out how to view the different types of waves mentioned in the tutorial, either from a recording of your own voice or from a sound file.
3. Compile, link, and run rms.c (p. 49) and meansof4.c (p. 53) from the textbook.
