Course Objectives

  1. Identify particular grammatical structures, indicate rules governing their form, and describe the meaning and pragmatic considerations associated with the structures.

  2. Prepare students to teach grammar skills to ESL/EFL learners at ;various levels of language proficiency.

  3. Become familiar with the most common grammar materials used in ESL/EFL classrooms.

  4. Write a position paper stating your philosophy on the role of grammar in language teaching.
