Teaching/Tutoring Log

Because this graduate course covers so much material, there is a large amount of reading in several books. Therefore, to enhance your learning experience while saving you time, we will "divide and conquer" the reading through the use of "designated reader& teams.

You will sign up to work on several of these teams, each of which will consist of two to three individuals. Each team you work on should involve different class members.

Before the class period when your team's report is due, you should read the entire chapter, digest the ideas, and discuss it as a group.

Then decide how you can best present the main or most important points to the entire class in an attractive, memorable manner (using visuals, handouts, etc.) while staying within a time limit of ten minutes. After your presentation, you should be prepared to answer follow-up questions from class members or the teacher.

Finally, based on your report and the follow-up discussion, at the start of the next class period you need to submit to the teacher two or three possible items for our mid-term and/or final examinations. These items should employ an open, short-answer format.
